YouTube has recently announced a new AI assistant feature to help the creators recover their accounts from hackers and protect them from future invasions.
The new feature announcement appeared a few days ago on Google’s support page for YouTube, where it was described as a troubleshooting tool. It can be easily accessed through the YouTube help center.
When you use the tool, the chatbot will ask you a series of questions regarding the hack while assisting you in recovering the impacted Google logins and reversing the changes made on the YouTube channel without authorization.
However, currently, the tool is only available in English, and most importantly, its access is limited to certain creators, though Google claims that it will eventually make it accessible to all users.
On experience, the AI assistant seems to work fine, and there are no major issues, though there are some drawbacks. However, on inspection, it doesn’t seem to address the most voiced complaint that claims YouTube is always impossible to contact whenever an emergency occurs.
Seeking YouTube’s help is only privileged to the bigger content creators, while small creators are left to fend for themselves in need of help.
There are many speculations that the appearance of an AI chatbot when creators are looking for improvements in communication might upset users, especially when hacking occurrences are becoming more evident.
