Samsung Folding Phones Creasing Issues Rumors

The only drawback of the Samsung Galaxy folding phone that stops users from purchasing the most-coveted smartphone is the visible, pesky crease. However, the recent rumors hint that it might change soon.

Rumor says the upcoming Special Edition of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a far less noticeable crease. This exciting news comes from serial leaker Ice Universe, who has a solid track record regarding Samsung rumors.

According to the leak, the “crease control” in the upcoming Special Edition of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is “better than ever.”

However, this update might only be limited to South Korea and China, but it is creating anticipation for future Samsung foldable phones, particularly the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

According to credible industry analyst Ross Young, the improvements could be attributed to Samsung’s potential use of Ultra Flexible Glass (UFG) for the first time. UFG is a high-strength glass that is a little thinner around the crease, hinting at a more seamless look when opened.

Although Samsung has been working on foldable display technology since the launch of the first Galaxy Fold back in 2019, the underlying hinge causing the crease has been a consistent issue.

This crease is also visible on some top foldable phones, such as the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and the OnePlus Open, although OnePlus was somehow able to make it less noticeable.

If proven right, this development will be a major step towards reducing the visual disruption caused by the crease.

Leakers states that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition suggests it will be a thinner model, with larger screens both inside and outside. The Special Edition is expected to launch in the coming months, so users can get their hopes high!
