It was only recently a programmer took the dare of running Doom on Nintendo Alarmo, and guess what? He succeeded!
The Alarmo clock is one of the recent gadgets released by the brand. While users are worrying about whether the Switch has reached the end of its cycle, the company plans to show off the prowess that is a bit more experimental.
Released in early October, the Alarmo Sound Clock features sounds and music from Nintendo games and reacts to the user’s movements to make sure they wake up on time. The device is only designed to play sounds from the game, not the games themselves.
A developer named GaryOderNichts on X (formerly Twitter) has figured out how to run Doom on the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo.
The users posted a video where they used the dial on the top to move and the side buttons as keys to scroll through and select menu options. After a level is loaded, he uses the right-side button to fire at enemies.
The best part is that you don’t need to open up the Alarmo to get it running; you can get it up and running through the USB port.
Following his post, Gary explained the process of getting the game running on the clock, discussing its specs, and leaving instructions for interested users.
After my last post, it was pretty clear what everyone wanted to see on the Alarmo. So, here it is – Doom running on the Nintendo Alarmo! pic.twitter.com/WimckYPnXZ

Due to the game’s compact 2.39-megabyte file size, Doom can be run on everything. One example is from last summer when a developer got Doom running on Balatro.
The games seem to run smoothly on the Nintendo Alarmo; the company has no plans to release the titles on the clock. Many fans also think now is the great time for the company to introduce more of its niche projects
Considering this invention, it’s like no matter which product the company releases, users would want to play games on it.
