After a long wait, OnePlus has finally announced the OxygenOS 15 software, based on Android 15, for supported OnePlus phones with a focus on AI functionality, minimalistic design, and improved performance.

Here is a list of features users can expect from the software update:

Animations: Parallel Processing

The company has introduced a new feature called ‘Parallel Processing’, allowing you to open and close up to 20 apps continuously and faster than any iOS.

Memory

OxygenOS 15 will bring more storage space to OnePlus phones, and the software will use 20 percent less than OxygenOS 14. However, this feature will only arrive with the next-gen phones.

AI features

  • AI Detail Boost feature can transform low-resolution or cropped images into 4K visuals, as well as identify pixelated images and offer clarity to pictures with just one tap.
  • AI Unblur and AI Reflection Eraser that fixes blurry images and removes both strong and subtle reflections.
  • Intelligent Search feature improves on-device search by initiating human-like conversations. It interprets your query and comes up with suitable answers.
  • AI Notes feature allows you to format, expand, or reduce content, and adjust formality to make sure your notes are polished and well-structured.
  • AI Reply has also been incorporated within the AI Toolbox

Gemini Integration

In the upcoming OnePlus phones, Google Gemini will be the default AI assistant, allowing you to brainstorm ideas, simplify complex topics, and rehearse for important moments with real-time responses.

Other System Features

There is a new OnePlus OneTake feature, “Share with iPhone,” and other protection options, along with some design updates.

The company has yet to confirm the eligible list for the software; however, they revealed that the OnePlus 12 will be the first to get the software update. OnePlus has also confirmed that the beta program will open for OnePlus 12 on October 30.
