A new leaked image of the OnePlus 13 circulating on Weibo provides a clear first look at the phone’s design, though there’s no official confirmation from Oneplus. It has a similar camera module beside the Hasselblad branding, which was also present on the previous models.
In the past week, we also got some hints on the OnePlus 13’s hardware, saying that it will have a custom Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition chip. This custom chip is rumored to offer high-performance numbers and is reportedly outperforming Apple’s A18 Pro in power efficiency.
The news flagship is expected to feature BOE X2 display technology, that will offer improved brightness, better outdoor visibility, and eye protection.
There are also rumors that it will have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, replacing the optical one used in the OnePlus 12. This upgrade might offer faster and more secure biometric authentication.
The battery life of the OnePlus 13 is also getting a boost with the likeliness of a larger 6,000mAh battery capacity and support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The company may also introduce magnetic wireless charging.
The OnePlus 13 appears to continue the Hasselblad camera partnership. The 50 MP main camera might use the Sony Lytia LYT-808 sensor, while the ultrawide lens may utilize Samsung’s ISOCELL JN1.
The OnePlus new model is expected to cost more than its predecessor, with the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model reportedly starting at CNY 5,299 (~$900).
The official launch of the OnePlus 13 is anticipated soon, likely to be released in China first before rolling out globally. As we already got the first look, it won’t be long before the company comes forward with some concrete information.
These specs are all alleged rumors, so it is advised to take all this information with a grain of salt.
