On Wednesday, through its official blog, Google introduced a new Google Flights feature—a “Cheapest” tab that will help you find the cheapest flights for your next trip.
When you use Google Flights to search for flights, the best options appear at the top based on both the price and convenience. But some people might be looking for a cheaper option and would be ready to give up on convenience.
Now, those users can just enter their trip details and click on the Cheapest tab, and they will be able to find the lowest prices available. So, if there is a third-party booking site offering a lower price than the airline itself, you will be able to save money.
This update is rolling out globally in the coming two weeks, wherever Google Flight is available.
According to the blog published by Google, the cheapest tab involves more “creative itineraries,” like longer layovers, self-transfers, or purchasing different legs of the trip through multiple airlines or booking sites.
The company says this feature is made for those times when the cost matters more than convenience. It will give you various price options and let you choose an option that falls under your budget.
So, if you are planning out your next vacation on holidays, this feature will help you make the most out of your travel budget. Although it might not always offer the best deals, it can be a savior when you are on a tight budget.
