According to a leak by Chinese tech website Benchlife, Intel’s Core Ultra 200 CPU lineup will be codenamed Arrow Lake-S and is expected to be revealed on October 10. The leak has disclosed all the information about the core counts and improved frequencies.
The 200 series will include 14 SKU models with a mixture of performance and efficiency cores. However, there are no Core Ultra 3 models listed yet, so there is a probability that they will be released later.
The latest chips are all desktop models, though it isn’t confirmed yet whether they will be sold as standalone chips.
The flagship SKU in the lineup, the Core Ultra 9 285K, is reported to be pretty impressive and features 8 Lion Cove, hyperthreaded performance cores, 16 Skymont efficient cores, and a TDP of 125W.
It is said that the chip will have Thermal Velocity Boost technology and will boost up to 5.7 GHz, pushing clock speeds higher.
However, the thing to note is that the SKU will also be available with 65W (285 non-K) and even 35W TDP (285T) configurations. But in these SKUs, the base clock will be much lower: 2.5 GHz and 1.4 GHz.
The Core Ultra 7 tier is reported to have five models, which include F and KF variants. These iGPU-less models are expected to come without integrated Arc Graphics and will feature 8 P-cores and 12 E-cores, summing up to 20 cores. Plus, the boost clock will range from 5.3 GHz (265T) to 5.5 GHz (265K).
Reports say that the most interesting update will be the inclusion of new Core Ultra 5 models, such as 245, 235, and 225 that will feature 14 cores, 14 cores, and 10 cores.
The launch in October is expected to include only K and KF variants. So, the interested folks, mark the date on our calendar and stay tuned for any updates!
