Google Has Already Revealed the Pixel 9 Pro Fold Ahead of the Launching Event

| Updated on July 22, 2024

Following the Pixel 9 Pro Fold leak last week, Google has finally confirmed the smartphone through an announcement video, ahead of August’s Made by Google Livestream event.

The video didn’t reveal much about the phone, but it confirmed one suspicion going around the internet, i.e., the huge camera bump. It is true, and we will get a huge camera bump in the latest phones.

In the video, Google has also hinted towards integration with the Gemini AI models. It revealed double-stacked lenses for the rear camera module, along with the outside screen and hinge.

The leak last week already revealed the prices for the phone, which were:

  • 256 GB: $2,065 in Obsidian and Porcelain
  • 512 GB: $2,207 in Obsidian and Porcelain

However, we are not currently sure of these prices, and for the confirmation of other specs and details, we would have to wait for Google’s hardware event on August 13th, where we will see the reveal of the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel Watch, and many others.
