Excited about the launch of the new Google Pixel Watch 3?
Well, it might disappoint you!
Many reports claim that Google Pixel Watch 3 is rumored to have only minimal updates. You might see a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 5100 chipset (SW5100) and a Cortex M33 coprocessor, but these are the same two processors that powered the Pixel Watch 2 last year. Don’t expect many differences and upgrades with the performance, either, as the new watch will have the same flash storage as well.
Despite the same features, good news is that Google will offer two size options for the first time-the regular 41 mm option (a 307mAh battery, which is barely a bump from last year’s Watch 2) and a larger 45 mm flavor (a battery up to 425mAh). To be honest, the regular battery bump is quite hilarious.
How smooth will the watch function with this battery and size, along with the same old processors? Well, that is yet to be discovered.
If we see from a broader perspective, other competitors, for instance the OnePlus Watch 2 is way ahead in the 2024 smartwatches. It is using a dual operating system. Quite frankly, two brains than one is a better approach.
Considering its reputation, we can expect from Google to improve their lackluster designs and customer support services. And it should not have been an issue in the first place.
There is no doubt that Google was the first to dominate the market with its smartwatches, as it was the first one to launch. But as of now, Google is lagging behind from its competitors in the smartwatch market.
