Samsung Unveils the 1st-ever Galaxy Smart Ring with AI-Powered Health Monitoring Features

After six months of announcing the plans to release the Samsung Galaxy Ring at the winter unpacked event, the company took to the unpacked event on July 10, 2024, in Paris, to announce the official launch of the first-ever Galaxy smart ring.

The South Korean tech company repealed that the premium smart ring will improve the health experience of users using the Galaxy AI features.

These rings are specifically designed to track wellness information, like sleep status, temperature, movement, heart and respiratory rates, cycle tracking, energy score, and skin temperature, with more features to be added in the future.

The ring has a durable titanium frame, a lightweight design, and three sensors for precise monitoring, a BioActive sensor, an accelerometer, and an infrared temperature sensor. 

It has 10ATM water resistance, an IP68 rating, a Titanium Grade 59 finish, and a concave design that protects it from the harsh conditions of everyday life. It also has a double-pinch feature that can be used to control the ring functionalities.

The smart ring has 8MB memory and a battery that lasts up to 7 days. The charging case is equipped with LED indicators that show the charging status to the users.

Users can easily access these features via the Samsung app and keep track of their energy scores in real time. It is compatible with Android devices and works well with Galaxy smartphones, except for the iPhone. 

The Samsung Galaxy Smart Ring is available to pre-order at Samsung.com and will start shipping on July 24, 2024. The ring is currently priced at $399 and is available in three colors: Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold.
