Following the release of iOS 18 for iPhone, many users have reported some annoying and strange bugs.
These buggy issues include the Message app crash when the image of an Apple Watch watch face is opened. Some iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max users also reported problems with the touchscreen after the update.
After the same updates wrecked the tablets, the company in Cupertino pulled the iPadOS 18 update for M4-powered iPad Pro models.
Thus, to patch these bugs, Apple is planning to release an unscheduled iOS 18.0.1 update, as detected by MacRumors.
Compared to iOS 18.1 expected to be released this month, iOS 18.0.1 will be a minor release. Although we are not sure about the exact release date, it will be available for users by the end of this week.
iOS 18.1 will be released later in October and will include the first Apple Intelligence features for the iPhone, such as advanced writing tools, notification summaries, and more. Users must remember that Apple Intelligence requires an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model.
To check whether your device has received the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update
So, the users suffering from the buggy performance in iOS 18, stay on the lookout for the iOS 18.0.1 update, as it may be available anytime soon and will hopefully fix the bugs and issues.
