Apple Might Debut Meta-like Smart Glasses and AirPods With Cameras in 2027

Apples smart glasses and AirPods with cameras to release in 2027

According to popular Apple analyst Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing some additional vision-based products: smart glasses, similar to Meta’s collaboration with Ray-Ban, and AirPods with cameras. However, these products will be launched by the end of 2027.

As per reports, Apple wants to utilize some of its multi-billion dollar R&D investment in Apple Vision Pro’s visual intelligence to bring these planned tech products into the market.

Apple’s visual intelligence was introduced with the iPhone 16’s camera control, and now the company wants to bring this to a glasses form factor.

It is said the smart glasses wouldn’t be full augmented reality-based glasses with displays but rather simply smart glasses with built-in cameras, speakers, and mics—similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban glasses that have recently become popular and are priced as low as $299.

Apart from that, we are not certain how Apple will integrate cameras into AirPods. It is believed that the AirPods might not be as appealing as smart glasses and might be a bad product for outward-facing cameras. Regardless, the company is fixed on experimenting with form factors for visual intelligence features.

However, as these are just rumors, this update might not even be released in 2027 or won’t even be materialized. So the users must take this information with a pinch of salt.

So, to learn how this innovation turns out, we would have to wait till 2027; though it’s a long period, it might be worth it. Till then, stay updated for more information!
